Love A Pug

Here’s the deal, folks…

There’s a rescue shelter for pugs here in the Midwest called, appropriately enough, Midwest Pug Rescue.  They recently sent out an urgent request to everyone that has ever adopted a dog from them that they are financially in deep dog doodoo.  Between the rising vet bills and the rise in abandoned dogs, they are quickly approaching the breaking point.

 

As many of you know, Petee came to live with me through this wonderful organization.  They take in any and all abandoned pugs and give them the required care to enter back into society as a healthy and happy pug.  To do so requires an ongoing source of income and they just don’t have the sources to always meet these huge financial needs.

 

I’ve committed to sending them a monetary (tax deductible) donation each month to help get them back on the banker’s good side.  Now I’m asking all of you help out any way you can…even a one-time $5-10 donation would make a huge difference to them at this point. 

 HOW YOU CAN HELP

The easiest way to make a donation is with PayPal (hopefully, you already have an account with them.)  Just go to the Paypal website and click on the tab that says “Send Money” and then enter the following email address into the form:

luvforpugs@aol.com

That should pop up their account at which time you can enter in the amount of your donation.  Be sure to print off a copy of your receipt for tax purposes.  (You can email Lisa Farrell at that same email address to obtain the tax I.D. # if you need that, too.)  If you’d rather write a check or use a Visa/Mastercard, hop over to their website and they will tell you how to do that. 

If you all could do this for me I’d really appreciate it.  In fact, I’m willing to make it worth your while. 

If you make a monetary donation of at least $5.00 leave me a comment on this post telling me “I loved the pugs!” and I’ll put your name in a drawing for a free 5 x 7 or 8 x 10 print of one of my photographs (any photo found on my Flickr pages.) Sorry, but this contest is limited to those living in the U.S. or Canada for shipping reasons.

All this just for helping out a truly worthwhile cause.  Just because you have a big heart for animals.  Just because no dog should be put down because they need a helping paw.  Just because pugs make you smile whenever you see their wrinkly little faces.
